Building a platform for launching and discovering apps

/ #Misc

Since I've been into building apps lately, I wanted a platform to launch this on. That became GoAppyGo.

I've spoken a little bit about this earlier, that I want to make a portfolio of mobile apps. Building apps is fun, and it’s one of the best ways to learn new technologies and improve as a developer. But at some point, you start asking yourself a simple question: what’s the point of building apps if no one can actually find or use them?

The competition for impressions on the App Store and Google Play Store is insane. Thousands of apps are published every single day, and even really good apps can disappear without a trace if they don’t get initial traction. If you don’t do any marketing, you don’t get any downloads. It’s as simple as that. Visibility matters just as much as the product itself.

For indie developers and small teams, this is especially challenging. You might not have a marketing budget, a large audience, or the time to constantly promote your work. Most of us just want a place where we can share what we’ve built, get honest feedback, and maybe reach people who are genuinely interested in trying new apps.

I know that there are already many places online where you can post and promote your apps, but I still think there’s room for more platforms that focus on discovery and community rather than just rankings or paid visibility. Sometimes all an app needs is a small push or a few early users to get started.

That’s why I recently launched the website GoAppyGo. The idea is simple: a place where developers can submit their mobile apps, showcase what they’ve built, and help others discover something new. You can sign up for free, submit your apps, and hopefully get some feedback, visibility, and downloads along the way.

People can vote on apps, leave comments, and share their thoughts. Over time, the goal is to build a small but active community where developers support each other and users can easily find interesting new apps that might otherwise go unnoticed.

If you’re building apps yourself, or just enjoy discovering new ones, feel free to check it out. Every app starts somewhere, and sometimes all it takes is the right place to be seen.
